The Tamarillo is located 3 km from Charing Cross and 4.5 km from the Ooty Bus Stand and Railway Station. It is close to Ooty attractions such as Doddabetta Peak, Botanical Garden, Ooty Lake, Rose Garden, and Tea Factory, while offering a peaceful stay surrounded by tea plantations and forest views.
- From Bangalore/Mysore/Wayanad: From Charing Cross, take Coonoor Road for 2.5 km, turn right at Fun City/Lovedale Junction, drive 250 meters, then take the next right toward Sterling/Gandhinagar Road, and drive 500 meters before following the fourth uphill right turn to reach The Tamarillo.
- From Coimbatore: After Valley View, drive 500 meters downhill and take a left at the Fun City/Lovedale Junction. Drive 250 meters, then take the next right toward Sterling/Gandhinagar Road, and drive 500 meters before following the fourth uphill right turn to reach The Tamarillo.
Ask the bus driver to stop or remind you at the Fun City/Lovedale Junction. Once there, get off and inform the reservation team to arrange a pickup and drop-off to The Tamarillo.
If you miss getting down at the Lovedale Junction, disembark at the designated drop-off point in Ooty and hire an auto-rickshaw to The Tamarillo. The fare typically ranges from ₹300 to ₹500, depending on the season.

Rooms feature hill-style sloped roofs, hardwood flooring, warm lighting, and French windows offering scenic views. Furnishings include a king-size bed, wooden bench, nested tables, and a wardrobe.
Rooms include fully dressed beds, a flat-screen TV with regional channels, a kettle, a flask, and in-room refreshments (coffee/tea) upon request. An iron, ironing board, board games, and card packs are available on request.
Each room has an en-suite bathroom with a shower cubicle. Provided toiletries include soap, shampoo, moisturizer, and clean towels. A dental kit is available on request.
Yes, hot water is available 24/7 via a geyser, except during power outages, as the UPS does not support the geyser load.
