How can I reach The Tamarillo in my own vehicle?
- From Bangalore/Mysore/Wayanad: From Charing Cross, take Coonoor Road for 2.5 km, turn right at Fun City/Lovedale Junction, drive 250 meters, then take the next right toward Sterling/Gandhinagar Road, and drive 500 meters before following the fourth uphill right turn to reach The Tamarillo.
- From Coimbatore: After Valley View, drive 500 meters downhill and take a left at the Fun City/Lovedale Junction. Drive 250 meters, then take the next right toward Sterling/Gandhinagar Road, and drive 500 meters before following the fourth uphill right turn to reach The Tamarillo.
How can I reach The Tamarillo by bus?
Ask the bus driver to stop or remind you at the Fun City/Lovedale Junction. Once there, get off and inform the reservation team to arrange a pickup and drop-off to The Tamarillo.
What happens if I miss getting down at the Lovedale Junction?
If you miss getting down at the Lovedale Junction, disembark at the designated drop-off point in Ooty and hire an auto-rickshaw to The Tamarillo. The fare typically ranges from ₹300 to ₹500, depending on the season.

Where can I enjoy meals at The Tamarillo?
Meals are served in our semi-roofed 10-seater restaurant on the first floor, offering beautiful views. Complimentary breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:00 AM.
What options are available for lunch and dinner?
Lunch and dinner are available upon advance notice. Orders should be placed by 11:00 AM for lunch and by 5:30 PM for dinner. Late orders will not be accepted.
Is there a vegetarian and non-vegetarian menu?
Yes, we offer both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, with separate utensils for each. Meat is ordered fresh in the evening based on received orders.
Can I dine in my room?
Yes, in-room dining is available, but we request that beds be kept clean if you choose to dine in your room.
How many guests can each room accommodate?
Corridor and balcony rooms can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child or up to 3 adults using the sofa cum bed. No extra beds are provided, and no additional charges apply within these limits.
Can I order from outside restaurants or delivery services?
Guests are welcome to order food from delivery apps if they wish to try local cuisines from Ooty.
Can we have a live barbeque at the property?
Yes, a live barbeque can be arranged on a pre-order basis.

Cancellations are free up to 7 days before arrival. Cancellations within 7 days will incur a 50% charge, and no-shows will be charged the full amount.
Is an advance payment necessary to secure a booking?
Yes, a 50% advance payment is required to confirm bookings. Cancellation policies apply as mentioned above.
Check-in and Check-out
Are pets allowed on the property?
Check-in is at 12:00 Noon, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability.
Can I request early check-in if arriving by bus?
If you arrive early, you can refresh in the waiting room or relax in the restaurant until your room is ready. Early check-in depends on the previous guest’s checkout timing.
What documentation is required at check-in?
Valid ID is required for all guests. Domestic guests need government-issued ID with address (e.g., Voter ID, Driving License, Passport, or Masked Aadhar). Foreign nationals need a passport and visa.

Rooms feature hill-style sloped roofs, hardwood flooring, warm lighting, and French windows offering scenic views. Furnishings include a king-size bed, wooden bench, nested tables, and a wardrobe.
What amenities are provided in the rooms?
Rooms include fully dressed beds, a flat-screen TV with regional channels, a kettle, a flask, and in-room refreshments (coffee/tea) upon request. An iron, ironing board, board games, and card packs are available on request.
What bathroom amenities are available in each room?
Each room has an en-suite bathroom with a shower cubicle. Provided toiletries include soap, shampoo, moisturizer, and clean towels. A dental kit is available on request.
Is hot water available?
Yes, hot water is available 24/7 via a geyser, except during power outages, as the UPS does not support the geyser load.
Is Wi-Fi available, and what is the connectivity like?
Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. While connectivity is generally good, it may fluctuate depending on weather conditions.
Are room heaters or air conditioning provided?
Due to Ooty’s cool climate, air conditioning is unnecessary. Room heaters are NOT provided, but extra blankets are available upon request.
How many guests can each room accommodate?
